Smithville Girls softball provides a safe, fun and competitive environment for girls ages 6-12 to come out and play ball. The competitive leagues start in mid-April and go through June for ages 6 & Under, 8 & Under, 10 & Under and 12 & Under. Each league plays 1 to 2 games per week and usually holds one practice on the weekend. All leagues are Little League sanctioned, playing modified rules.
Birthday/Age cut-offs:
Softball – January 1st (How old was your daughter as of 1/1/12?)
The softball cut-off date is January 1st, so however old your daughter is at 1/1 determines which league she will play in. For a 5/26/06 birthday, she will be considered 5 years old, so she will play in the 6U league.
General Info:
Girls will play in shorts for softball. The shorts are part of the uniform that will be provided to each player. The uniform costs are included in the league registration fees.
